The Disco Blues is a fashion editorial by photography duo Nika Vekilova and Oxana Alex. Explaining the theme behind the photoshoot, Nika said: “We were inspired by how a disco ball creates a myriad of light and emotions. We want to use this image to convey the inner brilliance of life.”
The team had a lot of fun in recreating the kaleidoscopic effects of a disco ball. “We are always fascinated by using different methods to create texture and light.”
“The reflective surfaces are meant to create an aura of light that encapsulates a woman’s ability to shine and bring about emotions in others,” Nika Vekilova further revealed the meaning behind The Disco Blues‘ scintillating effects.
