Laura pursued her education, completing her college degree before embarking on a journey across the fashion capitals of the world. She began her international modeling career in Milan, Italy, followed by a stint in Istanbul, Turkey.

However, it was her move to Hong Kong, China, in 2017 that marked a significant chapter in her career. For four and a half years, Laura graced the runways and campaigns of one of Asia’s most dynamic fashion hubs before making her way to the vibrant streets of New York City in the summer of 2021.

Currently based in NYC and represented by Fenton Models, Laura is not only working as a model, but also pursuing her Masters degree in Media and Communication Management at SRH Riedlingen University in Germany.
Q&A with Laura Scharnagl:
HBZVN: How did your modeling career begin?
LAURA SCHARNAGL: I started my modeling journey at the age of 16. I was discovered at the casting for the TV show “Germany’s Next Topmodel” in Munich, Germany.

My first agency was ONEins Management, but I am currently represented by Fenton Models in NYC. Some of my first jobs included a commercial spot for Maybelline Jade Cosmetics and appearances at Berlin Fashion Week.

HBZVN: Can you tell us more about your career development?
LAURA SCHARNAGL: After my initial success, I focused on graduating college and then signed with Modelfabrik in Berlin. I traveled and worked in Milan, Italy; Istanbul, Turkey; Hong Kong, China; and currently in New York City, USA.

Some of my biggest modeling jobs to date include Germany’s Next Topmodel, Maybelline Jade Cosmetics commercials, and appearances at New York Fashion Week.
HBZVN: What are your unique qualities in your view?
LAURA SCHARNAGL: My high fashion facial structure and strong work ethic are key factors that distinguish me. I thrive on being involved in the creative process and offering input to clients, leveraging my extensive decade-long experience in the industry.
