Kristine Graff looked at us and we immediately felt lost in her deep blue eyes. That was our initial impression when we came to see the 5’10” model. It was a crisp morning in California. Kristine was wearing her jeans and a light sweater.
“In Los Angeles, the weather is perfect for me. Therefore I can always dress brightly and beautifully to match my mood,” the gorgeous model sat down and humorously announced.
From Siberia to Ukraine to California
“I was born in Siberia, but I grew up in South Ukraine,” Kristine started our conversation by sharing memories about her childhood. When we asked her about Siberia, she admitted, “I don’t remember Siberia much. My mother moved to live in Ukraine when I was still a little girl.”
Like many other Ukrainians, Kristine worries about what is happening in Ukraine. “My brothers, cousins, and relatives are all there,” she told us.
The young model speaks Ukrainian, Russian, English, and Italian. She was not born multi-lingual. She picked up the languages when she started her modeling career. Kristine explained, “I traveled a lot for work and had to communicate with different people. Being multi-lingual helps me understand the world.”
When Kristine was in school, she was tall and skinny compared to other girls. The blue eye gene runs in her family. The eyes of her grandfather and brother also have the same color. “My grandfather has passed away. I miss him a lot,” her strikingly blue eyes were full of longing.
Modeling helps you keep yourself in good shape and develop taste and creativity
Kristine Graff likes to stay active. The model grew up playing basketball, “I was an attacking player!”
Her experience in basketball has helped her learn how to be a team player. Recently, she has started learning how to play golf and enjoyed the sport tremendously. Regular physical activity is a part of her daily routine. She believes that “to be successful in the modeling industry, you must work with your appearance and image.” Then she added, “It is also important for a girl to be friendly and strong.”
Besides working as a model, Kristine studied law in Ukraine. She then finished her study at New York University before settling in Los Angeles. Talking about her future, Kristine revealed, “I plan to study for a year at Stanford University. After that, I would like to practice law in California.”
