While Roz boasts over 14 Million Followers across socials today, many don’t know her story or how she came to be such a global success.
Back home in Saudi Arabia, Roz is well known for being one of the biggest women’s rights advocates in history. Roz broke barriers and shattered glass ceilings when she decided to follow her dreams of becoming a model.
After bravely taking off her traditional hijab and abaya, and stepping in front of the camera, she officially became the first Saudi Arabian model to ever do so. At the time, women weren’t even allowed to drive, much less create a brand and business for themselves. She is a true trailblazer that opened the door for many women to come after her.
Roz, an advocate for women’s rights
For many years, Roz endured backlash for her activism in Saudi Arabia. Eventually she chose to move to the United States. Since then, Roz has established her modeling career all on her own in the 10 years that she’s lived in America, working with major brands such as Swarovski, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Christian Cowan, Victoria Secret, Kat Von D, and many more. Roz currently runs her business all on her own, without the help of a manager or agent.
Roz is passionate about women’s rights and is working on advocating for more opportunities for women, especially those back in her home country. She hopes to find a non-profit partner in 2023 that can help her do more for her community and other women around the world.
Blending openness and authenticity
What is fascinating about Roz, and what speaks to her success as a model, is the personality she expresses. To put it plainly: Roz is always open and honest with her followers and gives true insights into her everyday life. Being the heartfelt that she is, the model makes a conscious effort to always be communicating with her fans and maintain a genuine relationship with them, leading to her growing international following on social media.
But as Roz’s fame rises, the negative side of the spotlight becomes complex. Many times, the young model has to deal with trolls on social media. Though that problem persisted for years, she has not tried to hide how flawed or limited she is, but learned that she needs to be adaptable and focus on the positive side. Roz explained: “I just don’t pay attention to the negative and focus on what is good in my life.”
Staying with style that speaks for the soul
Roz thinks a supermodel is someone who can be comfortable while staying true to her personal sense of style. Approaching fashion with fresh eyes, whether on a red carpet or attending VIP events, Roz brings her viewers along, let them feel a sense of freedom through her own lens of emotions. “I like to take chances and play with my fashion to express my feelings that day, it usually depends on my vibe,” she explained.
Her love for fashion and passion for modelling has guided her along the path to becoming an international supermodel. Roz is incredibly delighted for the opportunity she has been given.
“I’m really excited to be working with some amazing brands like Bvlgari, Fendi, Michael Kors collection and Area, for example. I was also very excited recently to join the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier here in LA. I’m thrilled by their guest designers every season and their last show with Olivier Rousting blew me away. I’m looking forward to seeing the new collections every season, walking down the runway and starting to plan my red carpet looks with my team “.
But nothing would have come to fruition without the tenacity of Roz. For her, maintaining her health and mental state at top form is the most important, because it offers her the spark of motivation, the drive to push her forward within the industry. She always reminds herself to purssue a healthy diet, workout and stick to her skin care routine. Also, learning new cultures and having new experiences by as much adventure as she can.
Now, with her potential fully realized, she is ready for a new chapter in her life where she could run her own business outside of social media, and become an actress on TV or movies one day.
